We’re proud to announce that our Managing Director Darrell Trigg was recently bestowed Life Membership of Auckland Registered Master Builders at this year’s Annual Members Meeting.

In an organisation that’s over 120 years old, Darrell is the 22nd Life Member, and we believe that’s an achievement well worth celebrating.

Lifetime dedication to New Zealand’s construction industry

Since he began working in construction over 30 years ago, Darrell has worked tirelessly to improve processes and systems wherever he saw the need. Darrell’s driving passion is to help businesses succeed – right across the construction industry.

His belief has always been that if everyone involved in a construction project knows what’s going on at all times, then the whole team is able to deliver a better result – be it commercial or residential.

From the outset, Darrell believed in practising what he preached, and Trigg Construction is company that prides itself on a fair, balanced approach to contracting relationships. He has worked to build an environment which embraces collaboration across all aspects of construction, and one which is adaptable, innovative and constantly striving to improve.

Leading from the front with hands-on approach

In order to effect real change, he has served on a variety of committees and working groups, to ensure there is a strong representation from even the smallest construction companies and builders that make up the industry in New Zealand.

Making a difference in his local community

Not only is Darrell dedicated to improving the construction industry, outside his work with Master Builders and his own construction company, he’s passionately involved in his own community in Ruakaka.

  • Member of Ruakaka Economic Development Group
  • Justice of the Peace for New Zealand
  • Crown appointed Chief Fire Officer of the Ruakaka Volunteer Fire Brigade

By now, you might be wondering what Darrell does with his free time, or whether he has any free time at all! A master of time-management, Darrell does manage to unwind with a range of activities and by spending time with his family. When he has time off, he indulges in the odd spot of fishing, diving and generally enjoying the stunning environment and outdoor playground at his back door.

Congratulations Darrell, from the entire team at Trigg: this award couldn’t have gone to a more deserving member of our community, or our industry.
