Meet the team: Michael Long

Share This:

Mike (as we call him around here) has joined Team Trigg as a Contract/Project Manager. Having worked in the construction industry in New Zealand and overseas for over two decades, he has extensive experience successfully managing small and large scale commercial and technically challenging projects. His focus is on health and safety, design coordination and the pre-planning of every Trigg project, working with our clients and consultant teams to ensure smooth delivery on time, on budget, to a high standard of quality.

Mike lives in Mangawhai with his wife Amy and their two children – Maia, 5 and Koen, 3. After living overseas for 15 years, they moved back to New Zealand two years ago, love Northland and feel lucky to live in this part of the world.

Just for fun, we put our Trigg 10 Quick Questions to Michael, and this is what he had to say.

Cats or dogs? Meow.

Dance floor or karaoke? Karaoke on the dance floor.

Coffee or tea? Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon.

Early riser or early night? The early bird gets the worm.

Good book or Netflix show? Prefer a good book but watch more Netflix.

Talent you wish you had? Pro surfer.

Dream destination?  I haven’t been to the Caribbean, and it looks amazing.

Homebody or adventure seeker? Adventure, but it’s always nice to return home.

Most treasured possession? Would have to be my kids.

Real-life hero? Kelly Slater – 50 years old and still one of the best surfers in the world.
