A Golden Moment At The Hundertwasser Arts Centre

We celebrated a significant milestone with the Hundertwasser Art centre’s stunning golden cupola safely lifted into place. It happened early in the morning in still conditions, in front of a crowd estimated at over 5000, so the nerves were high that everything would go to plan.

Trigg Projects In Full Swing

We’re thrilled to be back on-site and picking up where we left off before lockdown on projects currently in construction. Recently we completed and handed over to Marsden Maritime Holdings the first group of 12 commercial units at the Aubrey Business Centre, and we’ve started work on the construction of the next 12.

Mates Helping Mates

Young Kiwi men in the construction sector are taking their lives at an alarming rate. A 2019 BRANZ report on Suicide in the NZ Construction Industry Workforce found that of 685 people who died by suicide in New Zealand in the year to June 2019, 6.9% or 47 of those worked in the construction sector. It’s a serious problem that MATES in Construction NZ are determined to do something about it.

Spotlight on Rhys Wasson

Rhys Wasson is a long-time member of Team Trigg. We’re super glad to have him on the team as he brings a massive amount of experience and skill from 35+ years working in construction around Whangarei. Over that time, he’s managed a real variety of projects. He is currently Construction Manager for the Hundertwasser Art Centre project, a building destined to become one of the region’s and New Zealand’s iconic structures.

Just for fun, we put our Trigg 10 Quick Questions to Rhys, and this is what he had to say.

Project Updates: April

A Word From Darrell

Price is an important part of any project, but more important is what you’re getting for that price. Clients are always after the best value they can get from their construction project or program. The industry and many clients are moving away from the limitations of traditional master-servant project relationships and lowest price tendering towards a more collaborative approach because of the many advantages a partnered approach to project procurement provides all partners.
