Project Updates

It’s been another busy quarter for Trigg, which is how we like it. We handed over the 5,000m2 Marsden Bulk Store on schedule at the start of July. We’re also charging along with other projects on the go with three exciting projects in the early stages of planning or moving ahead for consent – the Ruakaka Rec Centre, Anchorage Retirement Village Apartments and a Floating Marina facility.

Ruakaka Rec Centre

The Ruakaka Recreation Centre new-build project is about to be submitted for consent, with the Trigg Team working hard behind the scenes to ensure the project is buildable and cost-effective. Our engagement via Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) enables the key participants involved – client, design and construction – to come together to problem-solve the project during the initial design phase. This approach minimises or even eliminates the hassles and additional cost of variations once construction starts. If you’re local, watch the space around the skate park at Ruakaka for progress with the earthworks required to start the building.

Marsden Bulk Store

We handed over the 5,000m2 bulk store on schedule at the beginning of July, with the Trigg team accommodating the client’s tenant on-site to allow them to begin their fit-out of plant ahead of time. The project consists of a 100m x 40m clear span main bulk store and over 1,000m2 ancillary spaces housing plant rooms, product store, office spaces etc. Darrell and Marlene are incredibly proud of how well the team has done to complete this project on a compressed timetable, and Trigg is proud to partner with Marsden Maritime Holdings to deliver this world-class bulk store at Marsden Point. The team are currently assisting with the project management and delivery of the civil package, including a car park, paving and roadways, and looking forward to moving on to the next challenge.

Anchorage Retirement Village Apartments

Once again, Team Trigg has been hard at it, working with the client and the design teams for the impressive Anchorage Retirement Village Apartments, sorting out constructability and other potential issues during the design phase before construction begins. This project is a game-changer for the Bream Bay area. It’s an elegant four-level design that will fit well with the surrounding buildings. The ground floor will house amenities for the entire village with a restaurant, library, lounge, games room, gym, physio, bar and other resident facilities. Our team expects to be on-site in early 2023, so follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn for regular updates.

Floating Marina Office

We’ve also been working with the client and design teams on an innovative floating office and ablution block. Again, the client has wisely chosen to engage Trigg for their expertise with ECI delivery and is already extremely happy with the team and their positive impact on the project. The Marina is expected to be in for consent soon, and the team are flat our planning the execution of this very exciting project. The building is architecturally stunning and will fit beautifully with its ocean surroundings when complete. The pontoons are due to go into the water soon, with the Trigg team due to start construction in the fourth quarter of this year. Keep an eye out for regular updates.
