A modern functional community facility that's been built to last.
A complete design-cost-build delivery package. The building is a concrete slab construction with Colorsteel profiled metal exterior. Large canopies float over the entry to this single level 300 m2 building, that’s home to a community library hub and the Whangarei District Council Service Centre.
Working with a passionate community group and a previous design to ensure their requirements were matched and maximised in a new design, within the budget. We also had to design and construct the building to fit future adjacent development. A fixed opening date and delayed start compressed the project program.
A modern, functional community facility with a future-proofed design allows for easy expansion. A partnered alliance arrangement ensured that the project was delivered to time and budget with the client fully involved throughout. The finished building is a significant and unique asset to the community.
