We’re Cracking On With Projects Here In Northland

Alongside our ongoing work at the Hundertwasser Arts Centre in Whangarei, the team at Trigg and all our subcontractors and suppliers are being kept seriously busy on these three local projects we have on the go right now.

AUBREY BUSINESS CENTRE

The floor has been poured on the first of two buildings for Marsden Maritime Holdings, consisting of twelve 150m2 tenancies for commercial/retail activity at Marsden Point. The first building is already close to fully occupied and handover set for early May 2021. “The Trigg team, led by Project Manager Terence Elliot and Site Manager Gareth Payne, are well advanced with the build. The floor was poured a few days ahead of schedule, and the fabrication of the structure is forging ahead. The prospect of setting up business in Marsden Point is looking hugely positive with many firms capitalising on the opportunity”, says Darrell Trigg. MARSDEN COVE BUSINESS CENTRE

The Marsden Cove Business Centre is also well advanced, and we’re looking at completion during the first quarter of 2021. The layout of the ground floor Four Square tenancy is being finalised and will begin early 2021. Project Manager Terence Elliot and Site Manager Brad Taylor are doing fantastic work on-site, beating the program all the way through. The upper floors offer commercial business space, and they will be a great place to work from. We believe that the success of this project so far is attributable to the way Trigg approaches risk management. With our client and the design Team at Hawthorn Geddes Engineers & Architects, we collectively worked out the best construction approach during the design and scoping phase, identifying several significant savings through the careful selection of materials and build methodology. Darrell says, “this project is the start of an amazing transformation of the Marsden Cove retail precinct – it will be a fantastic place to live, work and play”.

MT TIGER COMMERCIAL CENTRE

Earthworks are underway for the Mt Tiger Commercial Centre at Marsden Point. The building is made up of four 600m2 commercial tenancies and flanks Marsden Bay Drive on your way to the Marina. The floor will be down in early 2021 with a delivery date of the third quarter of 2021. Darrell says, “the team are looking at capitalising on the dry weather over the earthworks season to get a jump on the program and deliver the building earlier than expected.” Keep an eye on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for regular updates on this fantastic commercial centre located in the heart of the Marsden Point.
