The team at Trigg would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners at the 2016 Northland Business Excellence Awards. These deserving businesses demonstrate the strong values and positive work ethic that drives the Northland economy, and the success of this evening and the economic upturn Northland is enjoying are a direct result of the enthusiasm, drive and hard graft displayed by each of these businesses. It was an evening for the Northland business community to come together and show the rest of New Zealand just how passionate, innovative and dedicated we are!

NORTHLAND – A BUSINESS COMMUNITY GROWING TOGETHER

The vibe of this awards evening was unlike any we’ve experienced before. We were blown away by the positive, supportive and collegial atmosphere right across all the participating businesses. It was a true celebration of economic growth in the Northland economy, and our table of Trigg employees and extended business contacts were proud to be right there in the middle of the buzzing atmosphere.

We continue to be uplifted by the energy of the Northland business community – it takes a big effort to enter the Westpac Northland Business Excellence Awards, and it is truly inspiring to see so many businesses exhibiting such passion and dedication.

BUSINESS EXCELLENCE IN NORTHLAND IS ABOUT HEART

Waipapa Pine was the big winner on the night, taking out both the Supreme 2016 Westpac Northland Business of the year and the Vodafone Excellence in Business Large Business Award. Waipapa Pine are not only successful commercially and financially – they also give chances to kids who have taken a wrong turn in life. Running a fruitful business is not always about the bottom line – you’ve got to have heart as well! This commitment to helping their community, to giving opportunities to Northlanders who need it is admirable, and Trigg would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the team at Waipapa Pine. We acknowledge the passion and dedication you inject into your business and into the community.

The team at Trigg would also like to congratulate Unichem Buchanans Pharmacy, who deservedly took home the GBC Winstone Excellence in Business Medium Business Award. Unichem are firmly entrenched in the Northland community, going that extra mile for their customers every day. It’s humbling for us to stand alongside entrants who give so much back to their community, and we’re looking forward to working with them in the future.

JUDGES REWARD NORTHLAND BUSINESSES FOR DEDICATION, PASSION AND HARD WORK

Another winner we’d like to congratulate is Northcity Caravans – Piano Hill, who were the recipients of the Ricoh Northland Excellence in Micro Business Award. It’s refreshing to see long-established businesses being recognised for their hard yards along with their readiness to adapt and move with the times.

Trigg was thrilled with the Hall of Fame Inductee for 2016, well-deserving local entrepreneur and business stalwart Jack Guy – we salute his achievements and contributions to Northland’s business community. There are several business owners in Northland who fly under the radar, and so the Hall of Fame is an appropriate way for them to be recognised for their efforts. See the full list of winners on the Chamber of Commerce website.

WESTPAC BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2016 A ROARING SUCCESS

Trigg would also like to thank the organisers of Westpac Northland Business Excellence Awards 2016 for such a well-run, positive and entertaining evening. Everyone had so much fun that the event just kept on going – we have it on good authority that the after-party went on well into the wee hours!

Trigg were proud to have been part of the Northland Business Excellence Awards and to have stood alongside worthy entrants of such high calibre. We look forward to the coming year and the new challenges it brings all of us in the Northland business community.
